Horizontal directional drilling (HDD)

Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) - a unique technology proposed in the eighties of last century, the U.S. engineers. The main purpose of the new technology was to minimize the inconvenience associated with the violation of the infrastructure and the normal rhythm of life in the places where work is underway to lay pipes and cables. GNB acquires a special role when it comes to laying cables or pipes under the water bodies, or environmentally valuable objects, such as parks, gardens or under the monuments, bustling highways, railways. In such places, laying open method would entail a lot of negative events and financial investments. Thus the obvious benefits of HDD, both in terms of minimizing moral hazard and from an economic point of view - due to a significant reduction in earthworks. Excluded are the costs of time and money on landscaping, which would be required when operating open way.

Horizontal directional drilling (HDD) is located on the site of the proposed exit pipe.

This may be a river, each side of the highway, or another obstacle. Roughing (pilot) hole is drilled to the planned trajectory. Horizontal drilling provides highly accurate output in a pre-scheduled drill site on the opposite side of the obstacle.
